RF treatment has been used in different medical fields, but it’s mainly used in dermatology to treat various skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks. Side effects of cosmetic RF treatments are not a concern for most people. The only side effect that is worth mentioning is that it can cause skin redness and swelling, which will go away after a few hours. Other side effects of cosmetic radiofrequency treatments are typically mild and transient. They include redness, swelling, and pain at the injection site. Some patients may also experience a temporary increase in hair growth or skin pigmentation.
